Lunch Is Better at The Pool House

a bowl of food on a plate on a table

When you’re in San Diego, who says that lunch has to be boring? Listen, what you do with your down time during the work day is up to you, and you may have more liberties than you think! Maybe you don’t have time to do a cannonball or or float on a raft in the sun, but what’s stopping you from popping into the premier San Diego Rooftop experience. Think about it this way. If you’re in the corporate world, you’ve got to punch out for your lunch hour anyways. Or if you’re traveling for business you’ve probably got a per diem going. While you probably can’t have a mid day cocktail, there’s still plenty of options for a satisfying lunch in the sun that you can enjoy and indulge in as you look at 5th avenue from above on our rooftop terrace.

Let’s walk through it course by course. We’ll go from light dishes, to salads, to sandwiches, sides, and desserts. Whether you’re looking for a quick bite, or something more substantial, we’ve got you covered at The Pool House San Diego. We’re not only the best rooftop pool in San Diego, we’ve also got the best lunch! Our menu satisfies everybody who sticks around for lunch in the sun.

Our light dishes are perfect for a quick pick me up, or sharing with a friend. Or if you want to mix it up, there’s no shame in picking a couple items out and doing a mix and match.

Cheese Quesadilla – Mexican blend cheese, guacamole, sour cream, pico de gallo (you can add chicken, steak, or shrimp for extra).

Hiramasa Toastada – Cherry tomato, corn tortilla crisp, yuzu chile cashew crema.

And there’s plenty more where that came from on our meny! Let’s move on to Salads, shall we?

If you’re looking for a lighter option, or just want to be graced with the refreshing crunch of mixed greens, fruits, veggies, and protein, then we’ve got lots to talk about.

Kale Salad – Carrot, sesame seed, hen egg, parmesan, avocado, pickled shallots, tahini dressing.

Maine Lobster Cobb Salad – Avocado, chopped romaine, bacon, egg, cherry, tomato, avocado ranch (add chicken, steak, or shrimp for extra).

Now if your appetite is bigger than the vibe at our rooftop pool restaurant, then you might want to consider something off of our sandwiches, burgers, & entrées menu!

So many choices here! We might as well just get into it.

Breakfast Burrito – Chorizo, eggs, chipotle crema, cheddar cheese, fries, arbol chili hot sauce, and fresh fruit.

Pool House Burger – Griddled onions, American cheese, tomato, pickle, butter lettuce, secret sauce.

Maine Lobster Roll – Crispy shallots, herb aioli, griddled roll.

While we’re on the subject, let’s quickly talk sides. Crispy seasoned fries? Check. Frozen mixed, seasonal fruit! Sign us up because that sounds delicious!

What’s a rooftop pool lunch without something sweet to finish it off? We’re talking about our seasonal sorbet. Three scoops to be precise! Be sure to check in with your server, because while the flavors may change over time, the quality is always top notch.
